Kingsbrook U13 Boys in School Handball Nationals
On Thursday, 27th November, Kingsbrook School had the distinct privilege of hosting the School Handball Nationals Competition for Boys U13, and we are delighted to confirm that our team delivered an absolutely sensational, winning performance on home turf.
Tournament Match Report
Our boys were in phenomenal form from start to finish:
- Match 1 vs. Princes Risborough School: The team started the competition in commanding fashion. They displayed outstanding handball skills and superb teamwork right from the off, resulting in a hugely impressive victory with the score standing at 15 - 6.
- Match 2 vs. The Grange School: Our squad maintained their fantastic momentum, securing another comfortable victory with a score of 11 - 2. This resounding success secured our place straight through to the semi-finals!
- Semi-Final vs. Aylesbury Grammar School: This was undoubtedly the tightest contest of the entire day. Both teams were incredibly experienced, leading to a nail-biting encounter that finished level at 5 - 5. The tension continued into a tense penalty shootout, where the Kingsbrook boys ultimately dominated to seal their rightful spot in the final!
- The Final vs. Royal Grammar School: In the final showdown, the team faced a tough, high-stakes challenge from RGS. We are immensely proud to confirm that the boys held their nerve and secured the ultimate victory with a winning score of 7 - 5!
Next Stop: The National Round!
This wonderful result means the U13 Boys have successfully progressed to the next round of the School Handball Nationals Competition! A tremendous congratulations must go to the entire team for their commitment and outstanding achievement.
A special mention and huge round of applause goes to Mrs. Zubcevic for her expert coaching and dedication throughout the season.
