Developing Excellence in Handball

We are incredibly proud of the growth of Handball within the Insignis Academy Trust.

Under the guidance of Rose Zubcevic, our students are receiving elite-level coaching that bridges the gap between school PE and the England Talent Pathway.

Rose brings a wealth of experience, having served as an assistant coach for the GB Girls U17 team and currently coaching the Girls U14 Talent Pathway. Her leadership is already yielding results; this is our second year competing in the School Nationals, with our U13 Boys successfully progressing to the next round!

Rose’s handball journey began at age 13, in a school sports hall.  Inspired by a PE teacher who saw her potential, she transformed that early spark into a lifelong career. Today, Rose continues to compete in the Regional Women’s League, bringing current, high-level competitive experience to our Trust.

A qualified coach since 2017, Rose’s expertise is extensive:

  • Club Level: Coach at Bucks Mavericks.

  • Talent Pathway: Lead Coach for Girls U14.

  • International Development: Former Assistant Coach for the GB Girls U17 team.

Handball is one of the fastest-growing sports in secondary schools, and we are committed to providing our students with the best possible platform to succeed.
